Totnes Brewing Company was founded in 2014, after combining the Castle Inn and The Barrel House. It is located at 59a High St, Totnes TQ9 5PB. The company operates as a brewpub, brewing 250-litre batches with three fermenters on-site.
The Totnes Brewing Co. is a family-run establishment that also supports the Barrel House Ballroom, a music venue located upstairs. The brewery's income helps fund the music venue. The Barrel House Ballroom has a history dating back to the mid-1990s as a live music venue.
The brewpub offers a constantly changing range of beers, including their own brewed ales and guest ales. They also have a selection of craft kegs, and bottles and cans of craft beers. The venue is known for its traditional pub atmosphere with modern touches, including bookshelves, board games, and an open log fire in winter. In the summer, there's a beer garden.
Totnes Brewing Co. also hosts various events such as live music, quizzes, book launches, and poetry readings.
